There Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked at a Haunted Cemetery
What normally ought to be a place of rest is not so for the Tabernacle Cemetery in Waukesha, WI. The haunted cemetery is a private one supposedly created in the 1840s, when a young farmer boy accidentally hung himself while working in a nearby barn. He was the first to be buried here, and over the years, people continued to bury their dead in the same area. Multiple visitors to the area have reported seeing an apparition of a man standing near one particular tree by a gravestone, and still others have reported seeing flashes of light following them around while walking through the cemetery. The incidents had become very frequent, so the owners of the private cemetery eventually closed it off to the public and interested haunting abandoned their efforts. Even today, no one has figured out what any of the strange occurrences were… though perhaps the owners might know something?
